‘Hrithik continues to be a perfectionist’

Hrithik Roshan took time off from the shoot of Agneepath’s remake to complete his first music video for his small screen debut, dance reality show Just Dance to be aired on Star Plus. The actor got his director-friend Arjun Sablok to call the shots for the video, which was shot at a suburban studio yesterday.
Arjun confirms and says, “Hrithik came well-rehearsed for the shoot. He’s put in a lot of effort. He is the theme and the dance form in our video. We haven’t touched any other dance-style. Our only motto is to ensure that everyone who watches it is forced to get up and shake a leg.”
The actor spent four hours every day for five days to rehearse for the video. “I’ve known Hrithik for years now. He was and continues to be a perfectionist. He never misses a beat. With him around, the dancers and the entire unit is so relaxed,” says Arjun, who had directed Hrithik in Na Tum Jaano Na Hum opposite Esha Deol. “That was the first film I directed. Hrithik was a support then, he’s a support even now. He wanted me to direct this video.”
Arjun and Hrithik had also collaborated on the promotional title-track video for Dhoom 2 where Hrithik played the bad guy, back in 2006. Shiamak Davar had choreographed the video.
The director had also called the shots for the Tata Young video for Dhoom (2003) with Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Uday Chopra.
While Vaibhavi Merchant, Hrithik’s co-judge on the show, has choreographed the music video for Just Dance, Pritam has composed the music. It will be aired in the next few days on Star Plus and other music channels.
“The track is called Just dance… and it can actually make you get up and dance. Pritam is an expert with peppy tracks. And with the kind of dance moves Vaibhavi has set, I’m sure people will be left asking for more,” adds Arjun.
