Firmware version 24 became available for the T-Mobile Nokia Astound on Tuesday. The device finally got the Symbian Anna update. The Astound is the US variant for the Nokia C7. The update is only 11MB and you can download it through the phone. The previous firmware was version 20.
You’ll get a prompt on the phone about the update. If you don’t see it, you can click on the SW update icon from the settings. According to the description, it improves the phone’s performance and brings you the latest features.
The T.-Mobile Astound features a 3.5-inch display, 8MP camera with dual led flash, HD video, VGA front-facing camera, and 8GB mass memory. The device is no longer being sold on T-Mobile’s website. It’s nice to see Nokia still provide updates for discontinued products, but I think this update should have been released months ago.
